Cavities can look very small. The cavity actually turned out to be very large. The completed filling blends in perfectly with the remaining tooth structure creating a very natural restoration.

Old silver amalgam fillings
The old filling was removed and little tooth structure remained. Fortunately, for this patient, Dr. Peyton was able to restore the teeth with composite fillings. The large filling will probably require a crown in the future.

This patient came to us after not seeing a dentist for many years. For so long, she had suffered with toothaches and didn't smile since she didn't like the look of her teeth. She had many missing teeth in the back and front teeth were very loose. After discussing treatment options; Dr. Peyton and the patient decided on extracting all the remaining teeth and replacing them with dentures. Our patient was thrilled with her new smile and her new found confidence.
